Scouting is an enriching experience for all youth, giving its members opportunities to learn and apply valuable life-skills as well as foster cooperation, responsibility, and dedication.
In Cub Scouts (ages 6-10, or K-5th grade), Scouts learn basics of scouting by participating in small activities and lessons on wilderness and life-skills. Those interested in Boy Scouts often participate first in Cub Scouts, but this is not a prerequisite.
In Boy Scouts (ages 10-18, or 6th-12th grade), Scouts progress through ranks to attempt to achieve Eagle Scout by the end of their scouting career while earning merit badges that mark proficiency on a wide variety of skills. Scouts plan and participate in excursions, activities, and campouts, where they will make great friends and great memories.
